Four years ago my family gave up the suburban life of the SF Bay Area for the rural life in Southern Iowa. We have adapted well to the country, though we do enjoy frequent weekends in Kansas City.
We live on forty acres which we keep in hay, a large vegetable garden, and a small orchard. Isabel has two ponies, five cats, three kittens, one duck and four ducklings, a small poodle, and the occassional opposum, raccoon, and coyote.
My position as County Engineer provides me an opportunity to perform a wide range of engineering and management functions. Designing bridges to negotiating with the Railroads; building roads to fighting City Hall, it is all a joy!
I keep in touch with quite a few friends from Liberia and hope to hear from any and all ACS alumni.
